A microfibre towel for the everyday jobs — a wet dog after a walk, a rinsed-off paw, a damp patch on the sofa. Cheap enough to keep several around the house so there is always a dry one within reach.

Why the colours are useful

Not decoration — a system. One colour for paws, one for the body, one for the car. It stops the towel that mopped up mud from ending up on a clean dog's face, which is the usual fate of a stack of identical white towels.

Care

Wash cool, without fabric softener. Softener coats the fibres and is the single most common reason a microfibre towel stops absorbing well. Air dry or tumble on low.
