Choosing a size

Go by the chest measurement — that is what the fit hangs on. Measure the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs, and check it against the size guide in the product images above. The sizes overlap, so if your pet falls in two, take the larger one.

Safety and comfort

The legs are long and they trail. Keep an eye on your pet around stairs, furniture and other animals, and take the costume off if the legs get caught. Cats in particular can twist in something they can't see behind them, so never leave a cat alone in it.

Keep dress-up sessions short. If your pet freezes, flattens its ears or tries to back out of it, take it off — no photo is worth the stress.
