Pick your size by neck

Measure round the neck where a collar sits and allow room for two fingers between the tape and the coat. If your dog falls near the top of a range, take the next size up rather than running a collar at its last hole.

Why both matter

Reflective material only works when something shines at it. On a lit pavement with cars coming past, that is enough. On an unlit footpath, in woodland, or across a field at dusk, there is nothing to reflect and a reflective-only collar does nothing at all.

The LED solves that half. It means you can see where your dog is when they are forty metres away in the dark, and a cyclist coming the other way sees them too.

Worth being clear about

A lit collar makes your dog easier to see. It is not a substitute for a lead near roads. And the light runs along the collar rather than all round the dog, so a dog facing directly away from you shows less than one side-on.
