Bath time, the clippers, the hairdryer, fireworks in the street outside. These soft stretch covers pull gently over the head and sit over the ears, muffling sound and keeping water out of the ear canal while you work.

Key features

  • Muffles noise: a padded layer over each ear takes the edge off clippers, dryers and bangs outside. It reduces sound rather than blocking it — your dog can still hear you.
  • Keeps water out: useful during baths and after swimming, when water in the ear canal is the thing you are trying to avoid.
  • Stays put: stretch fabric with elasticated edge binding, so it holds without a strap under the chin.
  • Slips straight on: pulls over the head in one movement, no buckles.
  • Four colours, three sizes: Blue, Pink, Green and Black in S, M and L.

Specifications

  • Material: soft stretch fabric with elasticated edge binding
  • Sizes: S, M, L — see the size guide below
  • Care: hand wash in warm water, air dry

Choosing a size

Measure around the widest part of your dog's head, behind the ears and under the jaw, and check it against the size guide. Weight is only a rough guide — head shape varies a lot between breeds of the same weight. Aim for snug enough to stay on, loose enough to slide two fingers underneath.

Worth knowing

These help with everyday noise, but they are not a treatment for noise phobia. If your dog panics at fireworks or thunder — hiding, shaking, refusing to eat — that is worth raising with your vet, who can talk you through desensitisation and, where appropriate, medication. Introduce the covers gradually on a quiet day rather than first putting them on during the noise itself.

What owners tell us

Golden retriever on a cooling mat
We bought the cooling mat for our Labrador during the warmer weather and it's been brilliant. He actually chooses to lie on it instead of the sofa now.

German shepherd on a faux fur bed
Our 10-year-old Golden Retriever absolutely loves this bed. He settled into it straight away and seems much more comfortable getting up in the mornings. The fabric feels really durable and the bed still looks brand new after a few weeks of daily use. Definitely worth every penny.
David H. Bristol · Faux Fur Dog Bed
Cat with elevated food bowl
I ordered the elevated cat bowl for my British Shorthair and I'm so pleased with it. It looks lovely in the kitchen, feels sturdy and is much easier for her to eat from. The bowls are simple to remove and clean, which is a big plus. Very happy with the purchase.
